Properties: Colorless transparent prism, white particle or crystalline powder. Sharp taste, salty and cool. Micro moisture absorption, hygroscopicity smaller than sodium nitrate. Soluble in water and absorb heat, the solution temperature is reduced. Insoluble in ethanol, ethyl ether. Oxidizing under acidic conditions, decompose and generate oxygen when heated. Combustible or explosive when rub or hit against organic matters, sulfur, phosphorus and so on.
Use: Used as the raw material of fireworks, black powder, fuse and firecracker. In pharmaceutical industry, it is used to produce penicillin potassium salts, rifampin and other drugs. Also used to produce cigarette paper, catalyst and dressing agent; in ceramic industry, used to produce ceramic glaze; heat treatment salt bath. In food industry, it is used as color fixative and preservative, such as for bacon and luncheon meat with antiseptic effect.

Storage and transportation: Stored in cool, ventilated and dry warehouse. Prevent from moisture, heat and fire. No mixed transportation with organic matters, sulfur and other inflammables, reducing agents and acids to avoid explosion. Prevent from rain and sun exposure in transportation. Handle with care to avoid impact.
